Some global insurtech news for you, this partnership in Indonesia could showcase some useful insights into how consumers manage their own product lines, MTAs and claims.
Leading Indonesian insurtech startup PasarPolis launches TAP Insure, the company’s newest B2C distribution channel. TAP Insure enables consumers to easily access, directly purchase, and efficiently manage claims of affordable insurance solutions through one app.
“We’re thrilled to announce our new one-stop-shop insurance app, TAP Insure. PasarPolis is looking forward to reaching even more people through this new channel, making insurance protection all the more accessible across Asia,” shares PasarPolis Founder & CEO Cleosent Randing.
PasarPolis targets end-customers and allows consumers to access embedded insurance products directly from the TAP Insure app which can be downloaded through both AppStore and Playstore. At this stage TAP Insure was created in partnership with PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia, Tbk. (Zurich) as the insurance provider for the two products launched.
Currently, TAP Insure app offers two products: Travel Insurance, which also covers COVID-19-related incidents, and Personal Accident insurance. TAP Insure provides the following coverage for the two insurance products:
- TAP Travel (Travel Insurance) – TAP Travel covers financial risks that may occur during the trip due to travel delays/cancellations/interruptions, lost or damaged baggage, baggage delays, missed flight connections, and/or changes in travel plans, as well as COVID-19 protection. The premium starts from only IDR25,000 with a protection period starting from 1 day.
- TAP Personal Accident (Personal Accident Insurance) – TAP Personal Accidents includes insurance benefits that cover injury or death caused by an accident with a premium starting from IDR56,250 with a protection period starting 6 months from the purchase.
TAP Insure will be launching more products in the coming months that would include other insurance solutions involving home content, health, personal device, auto, and other insurance needs.
Coupled with PasarPolis’ aggressive expansion across Southeast Asia and their growing partnerships with over 50 insurance providers and digital giants, PasarPolis’ roll out of their new B2C vertical comes as a strong supporting initiative to their commitment to delivering accessible and affordable insurance across the entire region.
“PasarPolis is pulling all the stops to make sure we deliver on our promise of widening insurance access and continually building needs-based and affordable insurance solutions,” comments Randing.
