It’s Monday, so that can only mean it’s time for the weekly Job Moves round up.

Let’s do this;

COMPRE

Compre, the Bermuda headquartered, international legacy group, today announces the appointment of Jennie Earis as chief reserving actuary and Kunal Shrivastava as head of analytics, effective immediately. Both will support the continued growth of Compre, particularly following the group’s significant loss portfolio transfer of a SiriusPoint Ltd. portfolio, in which Compre assumed $1.3bn of reserves. Earis brings 15 years of legacy market reserving and M&A experience to Compre. She was previously an associate director at PwC.

Shrivastava joins from OdysseyRe, where he served as senior pricing actuary & data scientist with a focus on delivering innovation in underwriting. Prior to joining OdysseyRe he was a pricing actuary at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, a pricing actuary at Beazley and before that he worked for Legal & General as a senior pricing analyst.

ALLIANZ GLOBAL SPECIALTY

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to its Board of Management. With effect from September 1, 2023, Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre, CFO of AGCS for more than four years, will hand over to Oskar Buchauer, currently Head of Allianz Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling and Group Chief Actuary. As normal, the appointment of the CFO at AGCS SE is subject to regulatory approval.

Coste-Lepoutre will take on Buchauer’s role at Allianz SE as Head of Allianz Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling and Group Chief Actuary. In this role she will be working closely with Allianz Group CFO Giulio Terzariol to lead and steer key strategic and financial functions across all Allianz Group divisions: Property/Casualty Insurance (P&C), Life/Health Insurance, and Asset Management.

ALLIANZ UK

Allianz has announced Nick Hobbs has been appointed chief distribution officer for Allianz Commercial in the UK, effective immediately. In this expanded role he will lead all aspects of distribution for the recently announced integration of Allianz Commercial across the UK – encompassing large-corp, specialty, mid-corp, digital/SME and engineering inspection.

Bringing together Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) UK, which focuses on large clients, and Allianz Holdings UK commercial business under one strategy and approach, aims to simplify the experience of clients and distribution partners and Nick’s role will be central to delivery. Drawing on more than 30 years’ industry experience, he is expertly positioned for this.

Nick has been with Allianz group since 2001. He held a variety of roles at AGCS in the UK, Europe and North America before joining Allianz UK in 2011 as head of strategic account management, then director, Broker Markets. In July 2021 he was appointed chief distribution and regions officer, for Allianz’s Holdings commercial business in the UK.

CHARGEBACKS 911

 Chargebacks911 and Fi911, the global leader in chargeback management technology, officially announced the appointment of Bill Oglesby as their new Vice President of Partnerships. In his new role, Oglesby will be responsible for expanding Chargebacks911’s network of strategic partners, fostering relationships with leading industry players, and spearheading collaborative initiatives to tackle the ever-evolving challenges of chargeback fraud and payment disputes.
Oglesby joins Chargebacks911 with a proven track record of building and managing partner teams, and having held senior leadership positions in the payments industry throughout his career. According to executive leadership at Chargebacks911, Oglesby’s extensive knowledge of partnership development and collaboration will be instrumental in furthering the company’s mission to provide cutting-edge solutions to mitigate chargeback fraud and protect businesses against lost revenue.
Prior to joining Chargebacks911, Oglesby served as the Vice President of Channel and Partnerships at NeuroID, as well as Vice President of Partner Success for Midigator. In the latter role, Oglesby successfully cultivated a network of global partners and led an indirect distribution team, whose efforts ultimately resulted in a major acquisition.
LOCKTON

Lockton, the world’s largest independent insurance broker, announces the appointment of Mark Drummond-Brady as Advisor to the Senior International Leadership Team. He joins Lockton on 1 July 2023 and will provide advice and counsel in support of Lockton’s continued growth plans.

Mark will add highly valuable insight to the international leadership, having enjoyed a career of more than 40 years in the insurance sector. Mark began his career in 1981 as a broker at the former Hogg Robinson after serving in the British Army. Mark joined Lloyd Thompson Plc in 1987, ahead of the merger which created the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT Group).

Mark went on to hold a range of senior leadership roles, before becoming Executive Director of JLT Group in 2010. Mark then took on the role of Vice Chairman at Marsh, following Marsh McLennan’s acquisition of JLT Group in 2019. He played a key role in successfully integrating Marsh and JLT before resigning in 2022.

In addition, Mark served as Chairman of the Lloyd’s and City of London branch of the Royal British Legion between 2007 to 2022, and spent two terms on the board of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB).

CLYDE AND CO

Global law firm, Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of medical negligence specialist Louise Jackson as a partner in its Manchester office.

Louise is an experienced defendant clinical negligence practitioner and is joining from Browne Jacobson where she worked since 2015 and was made partner in 2022. Her clients include the Medical Protection Society (MPS) with a focus on defending primary care practitioners and private clinicians, in addition to defending clinical negligence matters for NHS Resolution, private clients and insurers.

Claire Petts, Head of Healthcare at Clyde & Co, says: “Our healthcare team has seen significant growth recently and Louise’s appointment allows us to provide expert response to this increased client demand. Her addition to our healthcare team in Manchester not only enhances our capabilities in the North West but across our entire UK network too.”

GENERALI

Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) is strengthening its Parametrics structure to expand its operational platform and enhance its market presence. Within GC&C’s Insurance Function, the structure known as Property, Engineering & Construction, led
by Sander Van Voorden, will now be renamed as Property, Engineering, Construction & Parametrics, thereby assuming additional responsibilities for coordinating the Parametrics proposition.

The division will be led by David Weber as Head of Parametrics. Furthermore, this newly formed structure will serve as competence center, driving the broader development of Parametrics insurance business across the Generali Group.

WORLD TRAVEL PROTECTION

Global travel risk management company World Travel Protection has appointed Alerah Turner as Chief Operating Officer.

Alerah Turner has worked for World Travel Protection for almost 20 years, holding various senior leadership positions across the organisation, most recently as Director of Global Provider Networks (3.5 years).

In her new role, she has relocated from Sydney to lead the Command Centre in London. The London Command Centre now has multi-lingual capabilities 24/7 allowing it to confidently support clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as World Travel Protection rapidly expands its operation. 

RUSSELL SCANLAN

Leading insurance broker Russell Scanlan has welcomed back Rob Wood, who has returned to the business as Senior Accounts Handler after five and a half years working another insurance business. The appointment comes at a time when the company is building new business partnerships and extending its service offerings across all its operating sectors.

Rob re-joins the firm, based at Wellington Circus in Nottingham City Centre, following more than 33 years in experience working for a variety of clients from small start-ups to big national corporations. His adaptability and experience in managing clients across a variety of sectors positions him well for the role, where he can help strengthen the company’s client relationships, while growing the expertise of the team.

On his return to the Nottingham heritage business, Rob said: “It’s great to be back at Russell Scanlan, working with such a good-natured and knowledgeable team. My five and a half years away from the firm has allowed me to increase my versatility — particularly on bigger accounts — and develop my skillset when delivering quality for clients.

LIBERTY SPECIALTY

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, announced the appointment of Luis Prato as President, LSM London, effective December 2023. Prato will report into Phil Hobbs, President and Managing Director of LSM.

In the newly created role, Prato will be responsible for setting, owning, and executing the strategy for the London insurance business. He will also work closely with London CUO Melanie O’Neill on the annual plan for London as well as helping to drive a successful client and broker strategy, aligned with LSM’s risk appetite and broader market conditions.
